I was wondering if you could help me checking my writing thank you
On a certain occasion a poor young man but very enterprising went to visiting an old wise man with who began a long talk. The young man told him about his dreams, overcoming desires and how he thought becoming in a rich man in a few days. He had planned everything well: the goals that he must achieve the roads that he must follow, the continuing efforts that he must do. Even more, since already long time the young man had been working hardly and already had walked part of his road that he had traced.
The elder looked at the young man had a great enthusiasm and an aware perseverance and a clearness of ideas that without place to doubts would take him to succeeding in his commitment
After so much talk, the young man said
I know when I being rich, when I have jewels, gold and silver my life is going to change. Do you have any advice for me, when that time comes?
With calmness and softness the old man stood up from his seat, took the young man’s hand and carried him up to window
“Look”- the old man said- “What do you see?”
I see people- answered the young man
Then the wise man turned and took him in front of a mirror which was in a corner of the room, he moves aside slightly and asked him And now what do you see?
I see myself-said the young man in a confident voice
Do you understand? - Asked the wise man- in the window there is glass and in the mirror there is glass but the mirror has a bit of silver and when there is a lining of silver you leave to see people and beginning to see only yourself
The richness is not bad in itself. It is necessary and is good to have money. The problem is when whole our life turn around the money then without realize we can become its slaves
