busuu.com is looking for a new Business Intelligence Manager to support our fast growing team in Madrid.

• Overall responsibility for continuous improvement of our key metrics (e.g. user activity, premium conversion etc.)
• Set-up and implementation of performance improvement projects together with cross-functional teams (e.g. A/B testing of landing pages etc.)
• Monitoring and updating of our key performance indicators
• Set-up of financial reporting and controlling (including business planning)
• Maintenance of investor relations

• Highly analytical personality (you love numbers!)
• At least 3 years of working experience in a strongly number-driven position (e.g. consulting, business process optimization, financial industries)
• Strong modeling skills with Excel
• Fluency in English – good skills in Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of online marketing concepts and tools such as SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, etc. is a plus
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment
• Love for vino tinto and tapas

• Design, architect and implement technical features of the busuu.com platform, using PHP5, Javascript and other bleeding edge technologies
• Refactor existing code and architectures to improve performance and maintainability to support the massive growth of busuu.com
• Collaborate with product and content teams to develop functional requirements for both web and mobile platforms
• Share technical considerations with the rest of the technical team and architect integration with existing systems
• Leverage HTML5 technologies to improve development speed and quality
• Provide technical design documentation as needed
• Document best practices and code standard

• 4+ years of experience in web application development
• Strong skills in PHP (Drupal is a plus) and Javascript
• Strong skills in MySQL (NoSQL skills is a plus)
• Skills in iOS apps development (Android experience is really a plus)
• Experience and skills in HTML5 technologies
• Excellent communication skills in English and one additional language is a plus
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Speaking Spanish is a plus
